Lucky Day boasts a unique combination of experience, songwriting talent, and musicianship to produce a sound that is as catchy and infectious as a serious case of monkey pox. Furthermore, their demo "Look at Me Now" debuted in the top 3 in its first week on the Washington Post's MP3 site and has been a mainstay ever since. Their sound is rooted in the Britpop tradition, incorporating urgent hooks, soaring melodies, and unabashedly earnest themes. However, this pomp is offset by ethereal vocals and melancholy lyrics, producing a curious contrast; the songs you hear will linger in your mind long after they are over. Lucky Day is establishing a solid following in the DC music scene, looking to continue the trend in other markets, on the East Coast and beyond.
