Lyrics
LOLLIPOP ANGELS Debra Foster / Ronnie Bee She is just a small little lady; the pride of her parents and kin She plays with her Barbie and crayons; her colors all stay in the lines Blond and fair with big blue eyes that see good in everyone She tries to be good, and run from the bad, she’s mommy and daddy’s angel. She sits on the porch with her puppy, doing her homework for school A man driving by sees her all alone, “Hey little girl can you help me” I’ve lost my little black puppy, come see where he lay in my truck She walks over there, but he grabbed her hair shoved her in and slammed the door shut. Oh who could have stolen my darling, innocent girl of my heart Mommy cries in desperation, her dad’s life is ripping apart The media come and take pictures; the police are poking around Days turn to anxiously waiting, but the sweet girl just cannot be found. She is just a lollipop angel, playing on marshmallow clouds Take care of mommy and daddy, she prays as she strums on her harp Remind them of me, and the love that we shared and someday we’ll be in heaven We’ll meet at the shore to laugh evermore rejoicing in glad reunion. Oh why did you murder my darling, sweet innocent girl of my heart I’ll weep till the day of my passing, and her dad’s heart never will heal. Justice if served by your dying, won’t bring back my lollipop angel. I bravely press on and long for the day when we will see her in heaven. Oh why do we tolerate murder and let monsters prey on our kids When will we say, “it’s enough”, and update our laws to protect them Pedophiles don’t care if they kill them, they can’t even love their own selves cage these beast in a cell, so they nevermore kill; in memory of lollipop angels. END: in memory of lollipop angels. Copyright 2005, by Debra Foster & Ronnie Bee
