Two Family Guys with not nearly enough time on their hands.
We're Jeff Oxford & Tim Perrythe Oxford-Perry Project a couple of aspiring Grand Rapids, Michigan songwriters. Tim is the word guy and Jeff cranks out the music and studio production. We're both family guys, and for the most part our music has its origins in the maelstrom that is family life in the 21st century. The Basement Bytes is actually a collection of songwriting demos. We're not really interested in being performers, per se and would be quite content to let others record our material. In the meantime, The Basement Bytes stands as our musical kick-at-the-cat. Acoustically, basements aren't exactly the perfect place to record. But for creating, jamming and storytelling, they do just fine. We are pleased to present this home-built, computer-recorded, cellar-chilled musical chronicle for your listening pleasure. We hope you enjoy The Basement Bytes.

Lyrics
Verse 1: I recall the life we had before you came along. Freedom put so much time on our hands. It was just your Mom and me, and a big ol’ shaggy dog. Seems to me that God had other plans. Then you arrived one by two, filling up our home, From that point on we knew that we would never be alone. Chorus: Don’t care ‘bout losin’ Friday nights, or trips to far away. Don’t care ‘bout losing fishing rights, at my river hideaway. Don’t care ‘bout what may or might, ‘cause I wanna be here for you So when I say that I don’t care…it really means I do. Verse 2: I look and see the calendar is filled with lots of ink. Time no longer gathers to our hands. I see the dishes piled up, and scattered ‘round the sink. It’s sometimes hard to recognize the plan. I check the list for chores to do, we’re booked up once again And I wonder how we filled our days, in the way back when. Bridge: But I’m happy with my choices, and how you’re part of me. I really don’t think there’s a place that I would rather be.
