It was the summer of 2001, and I was eating lunch with my friends. One of them dared me to stay silent for a certain amount of time. I used that time to write this song in my head. At the end of the allotted time I announced its completion. I later had to find a guitar and some paper. Anyway, it was based on a conversation I had with Dan Novack about trying to be a "buoy", and not let things get to me. I think we also illustrated our conversation later that day. I'm not really sure why this never got rerecorded or used. Maybe I thought it was too simple, or too silly. Enjoy.
