Lyrics
FEEL WORSE
VERSE
Alas, melodrama rears its head
From its hard pillow on its bed
But this is only the first verse.
There’s quite a while to feel worse.
VERSE
Yes, a spell’s been cast to shed a pall
Upon those trapped within its hall.
And though this is a vile curse
There’s much more chance to feel worse.
BRIDGE
At present, little time has passed.
The seed, merely planted, has yet to sprout.
But when it does it is quite fast
To screw you from within and out.
VERSE
You might live it up while you still can
You aren’t yet an also-ran
Before requiring a nurse,
When you’re obliged to feel worse.
BRIDGE
Don’t tarry lest it be too late,
Though in the end you’ll wind up with the rest,
Resigned to such a common fate.
Will you have made your last bequest?
VERSE
Though the storm wreaked havoc on your shore
And you feel that there can’t be more
The calm from it will be but terse
Unlike your shot to feel worse.
VERSE
So, as bad as things may seem right now
Far lower than a sunken bow
Until one’s riding in a hearse
There’s always time to feel worse.
CODA
There’s always time to feel worse.
There’s always time to feel worse.
