Story behind the song
I'd first intended for the song to simply be an instrumental track but, one day, while listening to it, words started to come to me and I realised that I needed to add vocals to make the track complete. That's where Clodagh Flanaghan came in, an Irish vocalist with a warm, clear voice.
Lyrics
DEJA VU Is this deja vu or a waking dream, ‘cause, suddenly, it seems like I have stumbled across something I’ve already seen. Is this a different point of view or simply a forgotten place I’ve been, It’s hard for me to deny – even if I try – you’re like something I’ve already seen. Have you been resurrected from my past, it feels like I remember loving you, But if you are nothing more than a shadow in the dark, I guess this isn’t deja vu. I feel haunted by your every move, is there a cure for what I’m going through, To tell the truth, I’m not so sure I’m really quite so willing to be over you.
