...A saga of the Fisherman throughout time...
Folk music
Played guitar, fiddle & mandolin in Rock Bands, Country Rock and Southern Rock Bands during and after College in the late 70's. Presently concentrate on songwriting and home-recording. I had a couple of songs picked up by a music publisher at one point. Once in a while I get talked into performing again; otherwise I just get together with my friends.
Story behind the song
Another one written at the Jersey Shore... a little nod to centuries of fisherman...
Lyrics
Ringing, singing, Tolling your way home
Lighted, sighted, The Beacon through the foam
No lips could tell the story, lay hidden in their eyes
A thousand lifetime of journeys through seas of endless skies
Netting, sweating for their daily load
Reeling, Feeling, Living the Fisher’s Code
No lips could tell the story, lay hidden in their eyes
A thousand lifetime of Fishermen through seas of endless skies
Filling, spilling their nets upon the deck
Weeping, sleeping through their daily trek
No lips could tell the story, lay hidden in their eyes
A thousand lifetime of journeys through seas of endless skies
Ringing, singing, Tolling your way home
Lighted, sighted, The Beacon through the foam
No lips could tell the story, lay hidden in their eyes
A thousand lifetime of Fishermen through seas of endless skies
