Eclectic microtonal/xenharmonic 21st-century
The time has come to say no to twelve tone equal. Ask Ivor Darreg. He knows. This project is, among other things, an argument for the further exploration of microtonal/xenharmonic tunings by more musicians. If you find this argument compelling or completely repulsive, please let me know. This project is also a response to the recognized need for more examples available on the internet, for the curious. The curious will never hope to get anywhere without trying out their ears.

Story behind the song
One year at a college cabinet meeting, there were root beer floats. Afterwards, it looked as though all of those glass root beer bottles were going to waste, so I acted quickly and rescued about 20 of them. They collected dust in my closet for over a year. Then, right when I was lamenting the difficulty of implementing xenharmonic harmony for a student chamber ensemble (practicum in contemporary music, it's the greatest class ever, composers perform and performers compose), I remembered them. While the logistical hurdles associated with getting all sorts of instrumentalists to play with good bottle technique were a handful, much fun and interest was added by way of bottles.
