Uhhh... no intro please, lets get to the important part which is listening to the music
Story behind the song
This is a requiem for the tragedy of 9/11. It was written several weeks after the event, with shock, sadness, and bewilderment enveloping and overwhelming the world.
Lyrics
Domine Deus
Dona eres requiem
Sempi ternam requiem
Unbelieving eyes
Black clouds in bluest skies
This could not be happening
Shellshocked and terrified
They’re running for their lives
This day will live in infamy
This is not a Hollywood film
This is not REM sleep
This is not a dark imagining
This is the world in which we’re living
Broken dolls, broken hearts
Torn and tattered bridal gowns
Separated, torn apart, when the buildings tumbled down
And this world will never be the same
No, this world is a world of wicked games
No this world will never be the same
Days like this make hell below look tame
But I remember that love survives
And I remember that faith revives
So just remember that brave men died
They died for strangers
They died for you and I
Facing their destiny, they called from the sky
And to their loves they said goodbye
And then with bravery, they fought the enemy
And blocked their evil scheme before they died
This is not a Hollywood film
This is not REM sleep
This is not a novel or play
This is the good that’s still in this world today
One man dies to serve mankind
He would die to save your life
Another lives to serve his hate
He would die to take your life
And this world will never be the same
No, this world is a world of wicked games
No, this world will never be the same
I pray to God we’ll find another way
And take this pain and wash it all away
And give us hope for a better day
And give us hope for a better way
