Story behind the song
my mix of the RDMC Duet #2 (check The Asterisk Lounge for Richard Dunlap's more faithful mix of our improv). Genjuan no ki = The Hut of the Phantom Dwelling; the title of a descriptive letter written by the poet Basho to a friend in 1690. "Fireflies weave through the air in the dusk of evening..." or from one of his haiku; Fireflies Just like myriad moons Reflected on rice fields i've never regretted moving to oregon from new jersey, but i do miss the fireflies on a summer night. unfortunately, for reasons unknown, they shun the geography west of kansas. Richard on synth, myself on erhu.
