Conclusion (Live Again) Words: Gino The sun is setting, clouds have gathered, And we see the hero and the Auburn Maiden Return to home and safety He carried her the whole way She hasn’t woken up Nothing has moved her since her spirit was possessed and taken But her mind, since awakened Has longed and dreamed of seeing the world for the first time That’s when her eyes open Her skin will feel the open air and she will live again, Yes, she will live again. So close and yet so far This journey’s sudden interruption Enter the wanderer His mind filled only with revenge Death is his only true redemption for a failed task He wants the Maiden back Ain’t swaying from this track Here is the scene of destined individuals Whose fates have tied swirls and knots around each other There’s no escaping what will happen next Risk on risk, debt on debt As both warriors draw their swords It has begun On the point of setting sun Give me sight Give me strength Let me breathe Let me live again… Sparks are flying, metals clanging As the warriors try and reach each other It is always give and take; their lives are both at stake As the Auburn Maiden lies in dormant observation In her mind, her hand outstretched in utter desperation “Why are you doing this for me?” She asks in anxious heartache, “I never wanted lives to be in danger, stop this instant!” But her mind and only her mind hears her own pleas of mercy The duel just continues; there seems no just conclusion And it goes on and on, this dance of death to which they’re doing One is fraternal in his purpose, and the other vengeance What good is fighting for this purpose, asks their mind’s conscience There is no proper ending, only death and destruction But they don’t care; these duelists of destiny will battle It’s gone beyond just mere revenge or fraternal protection Their lives are intertwined in death’s cold bony grasp and now Their rage has hit the limit, one final strike (chorus) The swords are braced up for one final blow And now the warriors face each other one last time This is the last time And as they charge each other Everything’s on the line The hero’s sword pierces the wanderer Same to the other This was the only outcome As they slump towards each other, on the side we see Somehow the Auburn Maiden opens her eyes from her slumber She sees the double murder And her eyes fill with tears All her worst fears are here Na na na na She crawls towards her brother And towards her protector And with her hands, she starts to heal them both As they recover Again she turns to slumber As both awaken from their state they see her slumped over A peaceful look on her eyes And now they both realize what just transpired here She saw her worst fears And had no other choice She drew her powers and she drew them deep So now she sleeps And perhaps now forever But in her brief moment of freedom she felt wind on her skin And they can’t even begin To take in the power of what just happened They both fell in to death She took both of their places So now in rest she lays Just passing by the days The duelists see the uselessness of what they had done And what a price they paid for all their fighting rage But someday the Auburn Maiden will again awaken For now she lays in dormancy One day she will be free (chorus until fade)
