Draztik the Notable Soul self explanatory...
Draztik: “The Midwest Notable Soul” “This is for the one that doubted my flows to you the underground exposed a notable soul” From the windy streets of Chicago focus was steady for this young lyricist. Born in the early 80’s Lewis “Draztik” Asbury learned early on that life in the streets was a portrait of hardship and strong sense was needed for survival. With musical talent hereditary Draztik was already a foot into the game waiting for the coach’s recognition. By his teenage years Draztik, (Kan-D-Man at that point began “writin scripts” for his first appearance in the lab. Fresh into high school he ventured on to recording his self released mixtape “A Lost Solja Ov War” and in the same year releasing the Idle Mindz debut to the streets “5th World MA-fia”. Working behind the scenes on other local projects gave Draztik time to study and gain stronger focus and inspiration for a more powerful come back for the millennium. With a strong love for poetry and eyes and ears deeply embedded to the street life Draztik developed a style some would later begin to compare to Hip hop greats such as Nas, or a hometown favorite Common. On a search for a stronger appearance, he then teamed up with local producer Aaron B. for a hot new original seasoning to bring to the industry tables. With this duo in the lab constantly on creativity voyage came the 2003 release of “The Window Payne”. This being the only industry release under his belt paved a way for appearances on Chicago Mixtapes as well as, on other local releases such as, Pacifico Records “We Got It On Lock” Vol. 1, Organized Rhymes “White Label Homicide”, LB’s “The Legit Mixtape”, Kerel Entertainment’s Compilation etc. In 2004 Draztik began working on the release of his sophomore album “Innovation” but shortly after the completion of recording felt uncomfortable with the album’s flow and cancelled the release. Currently in 2005 he is in the works of releasing an underground mixtape prior to the release of “R.Y.M.E. 4 Reason” his much anticipated new release. Draztik has accomplished much since his entry to the game and will continue to work with and towards the best only to prove “success is not an option it’s a way of life”.
