A tune inspired by and attributed to the late great guitar soloist Michael Hedges, although it sounds more like something Leo Kottke might have composed.

Uncle John Sawbriar - Fingerstyle Steel-String Acoustic Guitar Instrumentalist. Composes and performs a variety of truly original music that is difficult to categorize. Performs mellow to somewhat frenetic compositions recorded in one take on a custom-built grafted walnut Taylor 714ce Grand Auditorium called (appropriately) "Frankenstein". Despite your preferences in style, if the guitar is something you like to hear, then you too will become entangled in the sawbriar...

Story behind the song
When attempting to learn the Michael Hedges composition, "Eleven Small Roaches" I began playing some of the chord stuctures in different arrangements and with different rhythms and tempos, added arpeggios and other nuances, and ended up with this whole separate work. Entitled through inspiration found in the Michael Hedges quote, "I play the guitar because it lets me dream out loud."
