The biggest unknown artist in Poppy Dance music.
Kyle McMahon, also known as K.Mac, is an American singer, songwriter, producer, author, television personality, and entrepreneur. Signing with Warner Brothers Records out of high school, he began recording for his debut album. While recording around the country, McMahon received word of his Dad's deployment to Afghanistan, so put his music to the side to return home to his family.
In Summer 2013, McMahon began appearing on the first of his 4 episodes of the Emmy Award winning Oprah's Lifeclass on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, speaking out about his biological father's abandonment before he was born and throughout growing up. The response was overwhelming and he quickly became the "face of fatherless sons". McMahon released a one-off single, A Letter 2 My Younger Self (Fatherless Sons) as a free download, in conjunction with the Oprah shows. The music video received over 100,000 hits in the first month.
McMahon has been making a series of speeches on fatherless-ness in America. In addition, he joined with MSNBC's Veronica De La Cruz to create the Stand Up Man Up campaign, which lobbies for strengthened paternity laws and responsible fatherhood.
As a public speaker, McMahon speaks on a wide variety of topics ranging from the music industry, social media, fatherless sons, responsible fatherhood, Millennials, piracy, technology and more. He is also a regular contributor to the Huffington Post, typically on the topic of self improvement. Additionally, McMahon is working on his first book - a guidebook for fatherless sons and the mothers raising them.
McMahon has an active social media following with over 65,000 followers between his social media accounts. #TeamKyle trended on Twitter during a July 2013 broadcast of Oprah's Lifeclass.
McMahon is currently recording his debut, SchizoSONIC, for an early Winter 2014 release.
