A cold, dry northerly wind of the Mediterranean provinces of France, the mistral is unpredictable - a feminine force. The Mystrals can be just as unpredictable - twists and turns of rockin' blues and toe-tappin' soul with classic rock and whatever requests they can "pull out of the hat". These women are talented, versatile musicians who can show you a good time! Donna Owen was born in Dallas, TX, and raised in Berkeley, CA. She won "best female vocalist" at the 1993 L.A. Music Awards, an awards show for local unsigned talent. Her other talents include thrift-store shopping (finding vintage clothing for the band), and playing the harmonica without smearing her lipstick. Amy Crittenden is from Colorado Springs, CO. She has a BA degree in Music, and is a PIT grad. Before moving to LA, she was in another all-female band, Rare Form, who appeared on MTV's Basement tapes in 1988. She endorses Pearl Drums and Pro-Mark Sticks. check out our website at: http://mystrals.com

Story behind the song
broken heart, broken band, why are human relationships so difficult and sorrowful?
Lyrics
Tell me Why D. Owen/L.J. Lawrence I don't care about tomorrow if you're leavin' today, I cancelled my plans for the weekend when you stopped the week on a Wednesday You're gone and you've left me to spin round in those circles the vicious are in... Chorus: Tell me why I'm cryin' tell me why, If there's no use in tryin' tell me why? Tell me Why I'm cryin' tell me why, why do I waste my time? You don't have an answer or you're not going to talk, you're as silent as a scorpion in a circle of chalk Twisted words, those things that you said, rip through my mind on a barbed-wire thread Chorus: Tell me Why I'm cryin' tell me why... If there's no use in tryin' tell me why... Tell me Why I'm cryin' tell me why, why do I waste my time? No one can change it, now that you've made up your mind, but when the sheets get dirty on your feather bed, I guess you'll come sleep in mine The music's over, the melodies play but the bad, bad feelings won't wash away....so Chorus: Tell me why I'm cryin' tell me why... If there's no use in tryin' tell me why... Tell me why I'm cryin' tell me why, why do I waste my time? (repeat) why do I waste my time? Performed by The Mystrals. c 1995 Acoustic Perfume Music
