Rob liked the sauce a little too much back then...

Rob Darke started guitar lessons at the age of 8 and was told he was tone deaf and should give up. So he did for 5 years. At 13, the re-emerged to the music world after discovering the Misfits. He learned power chords, and was off and running. During the 7 years of being in the band Irony, Rob started working on his own stuff on the side. Matt [McCleary - drummer, Irony] had purchased a TD-7 electric drum thing and Rob used that as the basis of moving into the world of weird music. Dave Andrus of Dreamscape Unlimited taught Rob the basics of midi and the rest is history. Although it could be interesting to note that Rob hasn't finished an electric-based song since the year 2000... probably because of being overwhelmed by the possibilities.

Story behind the song
From what I remember of this song -- I used to make sure I didn't waste any second of whatever recording medium I was using (this being before I started using computers). This drumbeat was at the end of "Subrogation"s drum track reel. After a few drinks, I went and added some keyboard and vocals. This was basically me using up recording space. That's why the song cuts off so drastically... the tape ran out. Ah, memories. The vocals consisted of me grabbing notebook after notebook of poems I had been writing. I wasn't so much concerned with what I was saying, but how I was saying it. Experimenting with using the voice as an instrument, rather than trying to communicate anything in particular.
