Possibly the oldest Irony song.
Irony has returned to the web. More or less.
Story behind the song
This song was written about one of Ben's ex-girlfriends. There are TONS of versions of this song. This particular one is from the hesitative "going on without Ben" period, right after his final departure. The band had stopped playing for awhile, but started new rehearsals in 1999.
Lyrics
I fell in love with you
And now you are gone
I tried to tell you
Was I wrong? Tell me was I wrong...
I am alone and you are gone
Never again. Never again
Your blue eyes that never cry
Your cold heart - ripped apart
Now I know that you have no soul
I am wrong once again
You are gone
You're never coming back again
Was I wrong?
Never again, will I eat my words
I'll die
You are gone
You're never coming back again
Was I wrong?
Never again, will I eat my words
I'll die
I miss the times we had
As the days go by
And all the tears I cried
I am empty inside
I am alone and you are gone
Never again. Never again
Your blue eyes that never cry
Your cold heart - ripped apart
Now I know that you have no soul
I am wrong once again
You are gone
You're never coming back again
Was I wrong?
Never again, will I eat my words
I'll die
You are gone
You're never coming back again
Was I wrong?
Never again, will I eat my words
I'll die
