This one was inspired when I was trying to learn the words to Gordon Lightfoots "The wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald" I wrote this when I was 15 years old and just recently dug it back up.

I come from Texas where I grew up with country, blues, rock, folk, and everything in between. I grew up on a cattle ranch and once I realized that I didn't really want to be a "real cowboy" I followed my dreams of being a musician. I went on to play all over the world and I moved back to the United States in 2000 with my wife Marija whom I met while I was living in the Netherlands. We currently live in Nashville Tennessee and I am now concentrating mostly on writing.

When I was a boy a long time ago, my daddy went to sea.........My mama said don't you worry son, he'll come back soon you see.......Cause there's a lighthouse on the hill that guides the weary soul.....It shines it's light our oer the waves for all the youn and old........Oh the lighthouse........Oh the lighthouse......Oh the lighthouse........Oh there's a prophet in the lighthouse........Well the years went by and time did too and the seabirds sang their song.......The lighthouse shined it's light at night but my daddy still was gone......I used to go and sit at the shore every day at dawn.......Sometimes I wondered why the people left at all.......Oh the lighthouse.......Oh the lighthouse......Oh the lighthouse......Oh there's a prophet in the lighthouse......Well I walk up to the lighthouse door and I slowly step inside.......There I see my daddy's name, he's one of those who died......I look up and I see the stairs as they spiral towards the sky.......I climb up to the top, to see the lighthouse light.......Well I'm standing there and I'm torn between my heart and my mind......The lighthouse light has gone out, The prophet he has died.......Oh the lighthouse.......Oh that old lighthouse........Oh the lighthouse........Oh there's no one in the lighthouse........
