I'm basically a guitar player who does instrumental work, solo stuff with vocals and songwriting in various genres. My latest work is with Susan Lowery for a band called Foxxymoron.
Story behind the song
I wrote this song around an 'ole timey' lyric by Maggie Pagratis on an acoustic guitar that was in open E-flat tuning(just a semitone tighter than open D). Susan Lowery was very busy at the time but agreed to take it on anyway and definitely added something bluesy to the mix. I semi-shredded a little guitar solo there early and added some layers late along with a fair approximation of a violin played on a keyboard. The bass is just basically trying to hold the song together without drums.
