Very true story, well, maybe not entirely true. But started true, then turns to make believe.

catchy rock??? Listen for yourself.
Welcome, there isn't much to say that would make you understand what I do better than just letting you know who I am, which is Jay. I'm the kind of guy who would rather stay inside and write then go outside and play, forever. I'm the kind of guy who falls in love with almost everything, finds it hard to capture it all in a song so has to keep on going. I may be wrong but for me, a good songwriter can't be one that sits back and smells the coffee and relaxes, a real songwriter is basically (in a nice way) tormented by creation, and that is me.

Story behind the song
I walked to the lineup of the Ben Folds concert and met up with a group of New Yorkers who'd also driven there to see the show. One of them was named Julie, she had been a fan since she was 7 years old I think (which made her pretty cool in my books). At any rate, it was a double header with Rufus Wainwright closing the show. Abruptly Julie (and her gang) left me while I was buying my Ben Folds t-shirts. So, because Ben Folds ALWAYS uses peoples names in songs I thought of doing this right away. I like it. Julie, here ya go. :P
Lyrics
Met her random in a concert line We took pictures just to pass the time Stood so happy in the summer day Paid no mind to when she’d walk away Rock piano music, not a care Stood beside her trying not to stare Then it all was over, there in shock Clapping hands as she began to walk Don't leave me Julie, here My heart will disappear I fear What can I do my dear? oh Don't leave me Julie, here As I was buying merch she walked away Didn’t even try to beg her stay Our time was up and we had hit the end Say goodbye to you, goodbye my friend Don't leave me Julie, here My heart will disappear I fear It's up to you my dear oh Don't leave me Julie, here
