Story behind the song
In real life, I'm a high school teacher in Chicago. In late August, just before summer vacation ended, I had a dream, (really bad dream). You know how you hate to see summer vacation end. In the dream, I saw my classes for the next year. Since I don't know who my students will be before school starts, all I could see in the dream was the top of the kids' heads. Corn rows is a hair style that is popular with my students.
