Story behind the song

Pensive, slow, but not ballad-like. Formerly titled, "Denial, And I Know It", the song captures the point of view of an individual when they realize that something has gone wrong. Immediately, former illusions of perfection are shattered, and they can no longer return to their former state of oblivion. The song focuses on the emotions as they are stripped bare. Another song claiming that "something must be done." Slightly reminiscent of Rufus Wainwright's "Damned Ladies."
