Story behind the song
I was reading Phillip K. Dick's "Do Android's Dream of Electric Sheep" and it inspired me to think of whether or not a sentient machine, or AI, might ever consider a philosophical approach to it's own existence. For me at least, a true sentience transcends simple logical functions to consider the whole, and by doing so must consider the beginning, the end, and the purpose.
