acoustic harmonica blues harp vocals original mandolin folk
Watercress Thieves are currently a songwriting partnership made up of Malcolm Shipp & James Levan both from the South West of England. We have played together for many years and started writing semi-seriously in 2005, had to take a break whilst I lived overseas but now as of December 2007 we are working on a heap of new songs and planning to put together a full on Folk band in the new year 2008. So if you are into folk and play an acoustic instrument then do get in touch, multi instrumentalists with vocal abilities are the most welcome!

Story behind the song
This is a first for me as I'm learning guitar, this is the first song that I ever wrote with the guitar, was just strumming a few chords and thought, hey I got something there. It is also my first collaboration with my flat mate here in India, Pete Calcutt who is pretty magical on guitar and the mandolin that he's only had for a week!!! He is now fully integrated into the Watercress Thieves clan. You can figure out the story behind the song pretty easily I think.
