Cryonic Sun aka Kevin Quoss brings a unique combination of styles and originality in his musical expression. His diverse background from living in many different cities and states as a child, allowed him to experience different music and culture across the US. Now, 26 years old, Cryonic Sun has 10 years of experience in song writing, production, and performing. Overflowing with creativity, he is now ready to make the transition of his music from his hobby to his career. As an artist or part of a group, Cryonic has been featured on over a dozen underground releases, performed at over 50 shows, but still came back to the studio to refine and perfect his art. Being a competitive spirit, Cryonic has never settled for being amongst the best of the underground rap scene. His ambition is obvious with his ever expanding list of goals. On the production side his diversity is uncanny. He can easily create a soundtrack to accompany any style of lyrical delivery. His style of sampling and vocoding has been compared many times to Kanye West, but realizing the legal issues of sampling he chose to stick to non sampled music for his first solo release. You will enjoy the catchy melodies combined with advanced drum and effect techniques. Fans have tried comparing his style to many artists, but the growing list of artists he is compared to shows how diverse and original of an artist he really is (ex: Xzibit, Krazy Bone, DMX, 2Pac, Nas, etc). It is the artists that can combine different styles to create their own distinctive sound that are the great ones that come to redefine genres and create crossovers of different musical tastes. Without a doubt, Cryonic Sun is headed for greatness, and with his energetic motivation and drive, he will not stop until he achieves it. Currently working on releasing his solo LP, he is aiming to achieve a contract from an indie or major label, or a distribution deal for his founding label Hybrid Risk Records.
