A song about the impossibilities of immortality.
punk political social roc
A solo punk band with songs ranging from politics to social issues to evolutionary biology.
Lacking any real musical talent, I decided to use Punk-o-Matic to create some generic punk backgrounds to the various songs I had written. Recorded at low quality through a computer microphone, the songs are not musical masterpieces but the lyrics are still strong. Give it a listen, you might enjoy it.

Lyrics
It’s neither literal, physical, or material I mean a metaphor, twilight door, that’s reaching more Given option of control of ephemeral life models Would I live forever, age never, for the better The last remnant of man, when I stand alone again How depressing this eternal life, I take the knife, I end the strife But no blood flows from me, I decree, no humanity The man who doesn’t fall, within the squall, is not man at all The Fountain of Youth does not exist Since immorality implies one to be fixed To a dynamic world that can’t persist The ravages of time without assist From some imaginary guiding hand of bliss Connected to an un-bleeding wrist Unperceivable, yet somehow forever amidst All disconnected cells, all clenching fists Could I breathe free of air, live free of care, a freedom where I’m bonded to the earth, it defines my worth, can I come forth A de facto deity, without piety, a moiety Between the chemical, the spiritual, eventual The Fountain of Youth does not exist Since immorality implies one to be fixed To a dynamic world that can’t persist The ravages of time without assist From some imaginary guiding hand of bliss Connected to an un-bleeding wrist Unperceivable, yet somehow forever amidst All disconnected cells, all clenching fists
