Kicking Water was a great alternative rock band in the late Nineties through the new Millenium (1997 - 2001). They put out 2 full length CDs and two EPs in that time. Not bad for an independant act! Plus, they have almost another CD's worth of material they never recorded that is sitting on demo tapes and CDs waiting to be re-discovered.

Story behind the song
This song was written out of anger for a situation one of my friends was going through. The physical and mental abuse this person took was enormous. I hoped that the song would spark her to action or at least let her know that I understood where she was. It was definitely a 'cry for help' song.
