Ben Messenger - Singer/Songwriter/Professional Procrastinator
Singer/Songwriter, originally hailing from Cumbria, Northern England, but living in Cardiff, Wales at the moment. Raised on Randy Travis and Garth Brooks, and then listened to a whole lot of Bruce Springsteen and Eagles, a bunch of pop, rock, indie and punk, and a lot more country. I've put it all together, added a few splashes of beer and life, and out pops my own music. Don't know how much turns out good though. Anyhow, hope you enjoy. Cheers, Ben

Story behind the song
One of the most horrible feelings must be when you're coming to the end of a relationship and knowing that it's nearly finished. The spark's gone, you're both just going through the motions, it would save a lot of heartache if you just split up. I've never had the exact experience, but I've seen it with close friends. When I read Bob and Allan's lyrics the music formed in my head straight away, and it was one of the easiest songs I've composed, but one of the best. Music by Ben Messenger Lyrics by Robert Gould and Allan Mooney Produced by Andrew Griffiths and Ben Messenger Vocals, guitar: Ben Messenger Keyboards, programming: Andrew Griffiths
