Melodic guitar based song with Dylan-esque cautionary warning lyrics. It's about where did all that future vision we had not too long ago go? Do you know where?

Story behind the song
In early Summer 2004 I visited EPCOT at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL for the second time. The first was in June of 1986. I found EPCOT still to be a very inspiring place. So much so that I wanted to record my next album there. That obviously never came about. Upon my return home I experienced the simultaneous feelings of nostalgia for 1986 and "our future visions" of that time period and also the feeling that I had some how missed something. Most notably the now "retired' Horizons pavilion and attraction. Some prefer to call it "destroyed and condemned". It wouldn't be fair to say that this song is soley based on Horizons attraction. In fact I've tried to dig deeper into the speculation as to where did all our vision for the future go? Specifically the grandeur of the "future". Look at the wild Sci-fi dreams of some of our greatest writers, or even the Jetsons cartoon series. Perhaps it is fantasy but it appears that decisions were made along the way to get us where we are. I feel that we used to "dream deeper." During this time period I was also testing out various acoustic-electric guitar amplifiers at a music store I teach music lessons at. The main guitar theme on this song was developed while tooling around with the amplifiers and it could be nothing but Horizons.
Lyrics
1) Back in the day You know as they say? We did in a day or so it seemed to be The best layed plans The earnest deployed Now they're all gone Horizons Horizons And the future calls on Though memory is strong And the pain lingers on With dreams of simplicity 2) In a moment of time Inhibitions we're none And when we made love We glistened in the Sun Shrouded in doubt Decisions been made Now it's been done Horizons Horizons The lady's not here Translation unclear Concrete and steel, of dreams that drew so incredibly high No more Horizons Horizons Progress abounds The promise of Life Where has it gone? Horizons Horizons And the future drives on With the pain, lingers on And the future calls on For those who hope on, simplicity guitar solo 3) Old and in the way "It's progress", they say In with the new Out with the old, no more And the future drives on With the pain lingers on And the future calls on For those who hope on, simplicity Amen
