Song with the weird/haunting intro. I really enjoyed recording this one, I experimented with a load of layers. Hope you like.

Story behind the song
This will always be a really special song for me. I had an experience not long ago where I began to question what I believed it. It felt like my very soul had been stripped away from me, and I felt as if the core of God that I had inside me was gone. I felt physically sick, but that night I prayed so hard, and God really held onto me and pulled me through, it was like he caused the 'dead seed of my faith' to 'spring into life' again, and He brought me even closer to Himself than I've ever been in my life.
Lyrics
Verse 1
The dead seed of what's left of your faith
Falls to the ground
The cracked earth of your soul receives it
Without a sound
Link 1
Believe me, I've been there, I know what it's like
To feel all you do, is a good impersonation of life
But the Rains
The Rains are on their way...
Chorus
Call out, cry out,
Lift up your hands in prayer
Whisper, hollar
You know there's someone there
Searching, asking
Is there a chance for you?
This is just the
Desert that He walked through...
Verse 2
Do you feel
The measure of your life
Is in grains of sand
Look again
You're grains of gunpowder
In your Father's hand.
Link 2
Believe me, I've been there, I know how it feels
To have a thousand old wounds, you think can never be healed,
But He could take
Take them all today...
Bridge
The rains are on their way... [various weird ad-lib layers]
[main vocal]
The faith you felt was dead
The life you said was sand
The rains you thought would never come
A seed springs into life
A weary soul ignites
The rain you're waiting for has come
Chorus 2
Call out, cry out,
Lift up your hands in prayer
Whisper, hollar
You know there's someone there
Searching, asking
Yes, there's a chance for you.
This is just the
Desert that He lead you through...
