Story behind the song
The air conditioner broke down and the heat is on with the Summer afternoon Sun beating down. Grab the iced tea and drag the lawn chairs into the shade. Spend the Lazy Summer Afternoon with me. I was imagining a group of studio musicians jamming away when I was developing this. I was trying to give it a spontaneous feel like it just fell into place. That fat synth grinding in the harmony gives it a hot sweaty feel I think. It sure is a different sound - Don't hear much Reggae around here unless you hit the local talent in the resort bars downtown. Give it a listen and see what you think. Not one of the easiest tunes to mix. Overall - a good reflection of the strange Holiday weekend I've had.
