Take old skool rave, add indie/punk sensibilities and anarchist politics, shake vigorously, then see what happens...
Total semi-competent amateur and proud of it! There are currently 10 full albums, 5 EPs and numerous stray tracks available here... keep checking up, cos more music is appearing all the time... For album and EP artwork, visit . If you think you can stomach more of this shit, then why not check the , and wonder at my musical development (or lack thereof...) I now also have a page dedicated to I've done for other people... Finally, there's also a wee side project that I have which goes by the name ...

Story behind the song
This was written in response to that Band Aid sh** - a pointless exercise if there was ever one. The trouble with charity initiatives of this sort is that it does nothing to address the root causes. Even calls to scrap debt repayments and end unfair trade agreements will have no real impact; at best, they will prevent things getting worse. But for things to actually get better, there needs to be a thorough redistribution of wealth and an end to profiteering and private property to prevent the problems recurring. In short, what's needed is all-out social revolution. Ugly fact: Total money raised by Band Aid from 1984 up to November 2004 - £144 million; Ethiopia's debt repayments in 2004 - £150 million source: Freedom (the anarchist paper)
Lyrics
I always feel ashamed / When beggars mumble for change I start mumbling myself / And can’t look them in the face Just hand him a few coins / And then hurry away Wondering what reduced him / To living that way. I know its not enough / But it’s all I’ve got I do what I can / Though its not my fault The system divides us / It’s the root of all crime Its an endless fight / Just to survive. Its not enough - enough! Enough! Give one, take two / Somehow nothing improves Fools still crying / For the children they’ve doomed By upholding the system / And guarding its walls The reason some have nothing / Is that others have it all. Good intentions haunt / The road to hell But real change seems to be / The hardest thing to sell Out of sight, out of mind / You ignore all the suffering Just smother your guilt / And then blame the victim. "It's terrible, but what can you do? Personally, I give as little as £2 a month To salve my conscience.” Yeah you treat the symptoms / Don’t consider the cause Its not enough. Its not a lack of food / That makes people starve Its not a clash of cultures / That starts all the wars It’s the profit-driven market / At the root of it all If you want to save the children / Then this system must fall. Cos charity is not enough. / Reform is not enough. What the world needs / Is nothing less than revolution.
