This song REALLY could use a progressive band to perform it fully. (You will hear from the lyrics the need for more than the acoustic performance I do).....It's as close to Pink Floyd as anything I do.

Randy G-Solo Acoustic Guitar-Harmonica Like to play song mostly related to trying to make this world a better place to live in.
I'm an solo acoustic guitar/harmonica player. I'm interested in introducing my original material to a broader audience then my living room! I've played with several bands over the last 25 years or so. Sally and I are currently involved in a band called 4Way....loosely based in Punxutawney, other members are Mike and Jeanie Kurtz. In September 2011, I was been asked to fill in for Jessie DeChurch in a high profile Classic rock band in the Punxutawney area know as Mid-Life Crisis. Jesse is having some health issues that hopefully are temporary, but the Musicains in this band are EXCELLENT! Mike Kurtz on bass, John Keeley on keys, Dave Buzard lead guitar and Phil Cushing on drums. Follow the Mid-Life Crisis news and schedule by looking up the band name on Facebook.

Story behind the song
I perform this song in progressive order following up Pink Floyd covers of "Breathe" & "Time". It's about the conflicting worlds of music and reality.
Lyrics
I am calling out to you Let us see what we can do Mr Floydman set the mood Giving us a taste or the dark side of the moon Peculiar feelings Running up and down our spines Such a concept A journey to the center of our minds The guitar screams The bass line is a mellow dream The drum beat is a steady find The keyboard pattern stays right in line Listen to me.... I am calling out to see Can the music ever truly set us free Every night is a fantasy Every morning becomes harsh reality Peculiar feelings Running in and out our minds Such a concept A journey through the smoke and grime A tire screams The buildings rise incessantly Walking feet in a steady line The faces stare so distantly Listen..... Haze at the end of a tunnel The gap is so far away Time frozen in an abstract line WAKE ME UP!!!!!!! WAKE US UP!!!!!!! Alert our senses I am calling out to you Darkness change from black to blue Bluesy music takes on a sonic journey Inspires all our dreams and tames all our yearnings repeat 1st section from "Peculiar feelings" to "Keyboard pattern stays right in line" I am calling out to you (echo) (4 times)
