Story behind the song
I had the first line of the song from the get-go, just didn't know where it was going. Later I came up with the alliteration in the chorus leading to the hook. The dots all got connected along the way somehow. It was a reality check for me, when I was worrying too much about getting in the Music Row scene and chasing things I thought would make me happy only to realize that happiness was already right in front of me. When I saw it going that direction, it became a song written to and for my wife who has unflinchingly supported me and nudged me along the way.
