A violent, chaotic track set off by vocal samples from historical speeches--a sonic incarnation of our urge to rush headlong into the abyss.

...ok, not really--but I am broke as hell. I run an independent recording studio out of San Luis Obispo California, (Read: A Playstation 2, a computer, and a keyboard from Radio Shack all hooked together with extension cords) and I do live and studio mixing/arranging under the name Dj Ch405. (Pronounced "Dj Chaos") I've been making music of various kinds since I was a kid, but have only recently gotten into arranging--and the equipment and programs I have to work with are decidedly limited--although you might not know it from listening to the tracks I'm making... ...I guess I'm just good at slumming it. I really don't know what genre you'd classify my work as--it's like the bastard child of techno, oldschool rap (back when it was still good) and heavy metal--not necessarily in that order. In short: Good music to blow something up to.

Story behind the song
This was my second techno song, written right after W47cH 17 13u12N. Like most of my techno, this song is an anthem for my misanthropic and anti-social outlook on life--but while W47cH 17 13u12N is about laughing at the end of the world, this song represents those rare moments when I sill care. I really didn't want to start being political with my music, so instead of just preaching my opinions, I sampled a bunch of historic speeches and mixed them in chronological order, documenting the shift in attitudes and letting the contrasts speak for themselves. The listener can decide for themselves what it all means, but personally--I think we're going down in flames.
