Story behind the song
The song was written weeks before graduation day by Spife Knockturn in his dormitory bedroom. The line "we got older but we're still young" is a reference to The Starting Line's "The Best of Me".
Lyrics
(I'm finding it hard to believe that we will say goodbye, but a part of us will never leave.) I'm finding it hard to believe we have gone this far. It seems like yesterday when you said hello to me. Time has passed us by, how quickly does it fly. Now the time has come for us to say goodbye. We will leave this place but we'll never be apart. We will go away but the memories will stay forever in our hearts. I'm finding it hard to believe we are growing up. It seems like yesterday when we were children playing in the streets. We got older, but we're still young. We will always lift each other when we're down. We will say farewell but only time will tell if we will meet again and still be friends Wherever these roads might take us, we will always look back to the times we spent with each other. We will say gooodbye but I know we'll do just fine as we grow to see the fulfillment of our hopes and of our dreams.
