HIP HOP & R&B PRODUCER/COMPOSER
Independent composer and producer, Christophe “Teetoff” Battery has emerged on the French music scene in recent years as a gifted, popular and talented figure. He has amassed a career total of 3.2 million units in global sales with his work as a composer/producer for artist such as Laam, T.Rio, Lynnsha, Stereo Black Starr & Julian Cely, and Anguun among others. Teetoff has topped the French “Top Singles” charts in January 2005 with the #1 hit “Homme Femme” by Lynnsha featuring D.DY. This song also won the #1 airplay on the biggest hip hop R&B radio station in France, Skyrock! 96FM. The hit “Cargo” by Stereo Blackstarr + Julian Cely dropped in January 2005 with the highest radio rotation on the #1 pop radio in France, NRJ 100.3FM. Born in French Guyana and raised in France, Teetoff grew up in a family of gospel singers and musicians and discovered the world of music when he was very young. In 1991 he started a gospel group called Sweetness, which toured France as concert headliners as well as the opening act for other major groups. It was not long before he realized that he preferred to work behind the scenes instead of directly in the spotlight. Finding himself at home with sequencers, computers and sound equipment, he explored the world of composition/arrangement via Pro-tools and Logic Audio. Making quality music became his driving force and making hits became his new-found objective. Self-taught and inspired by his faith in God, he locked himself in his room and began creating. As producer/arranger/composer, Teetoff rapidly signed publishing deals. First, with XIIIbis Music and currently with BMG/Heben Music. The hot “Teetoff sound” is hip hop R&B sprinkled with exotic influences including Arabic and Indian music. His résumé of career achievements includes a gold album for “Une Vie Ne Suffit pas” by Laam; platinum albums for Star Academy 2 and Star Academy 4; a platinum single for “Mama Eu Quero “by T.Rio; and a gold single for “Hommes Femmes” by Lynnsha. “Music has no frontiers!”
