Will life let me in? Produced by Scott Benzel, with cello and vocals by Tanya Haden and viola by Heather Lockie.
From the producer of Frank Black / The Pixies.
If there was a European-flavored equivalent of the Postal Service, maybe it would be L.A.-based Par Avion. How else to explain local musicians from such seemingly disparate backgrounds, coming together to create something fun, and maybe even a little unique (mostly in their spare time from other bands)? A strange brew indeed: local singer-songwriter Paul Avion (formerly Pablo Brazil), Tanya Haden of Let's Go Sailing / Silversun Pickups, Scott Benzel of Destroy All Monsters / Soulo (and erstwhile Machines of Loving Grace frontman) and Nick Lucero, a former drummer of Queens of the Stone Age. And it's always evolving. Past / present / future contributors have included Shana Levy (Let's Go Sailing), Ben Mumphrey (Frank Black & The Catholics), Heather Lockie, and others. A combination that can only make for an interesting outcome. but judge for yourself Look for Par Avion's debut EP, Pop Music United, coming in 2006 (debuting at Amoeba Hollywood and on CD Baby).

Story behind the song
PMU Club Scene of Paris, London, Berlin melds with broken heart.
Lyrics
Is it worth it? A new leather coat and boots for yourself Walking by Big Ben, or Pop-In PMU, London or Paris, Berlin All this music so united Will life let me in? But now that I'm on my own You might say I'm better off now that I'm living alone And not thinking of you Or of anyone else In front of some keyboard Or watching people go by as they toil at the grind Another daydream, another seaboard How many rolls do I have to unwind Just to feel without attachments? Where can I feel kind? But would you live forever? (Would you write it all down? United, united, united) After the party A little time to be all by myself Now that the lasers are over Time to forget the things that I felt Flying from you and life and London To some asteroid belt
