Story behind the song
Just had to do it... i wrote this song a few years back, and i still love it!
Lyrics
(Intelekt) Julie loved her mother, but never had the chance to know her She died having Julie, and just like that, it's over So she lived with her father, reading Saviour comics every day Till the day she watched her father being killed for a past due drug pay Now seven years old, she was now adopted by a man of age Abusive, a drunk, would beat on Julie in fits of rage She flips the page, and reads as Saviour's tipped to save The lives of innocents, fights off insolence with fists of rage Hit and raped, she flipped the page and read her comics daily Felt fit to wait, she'd sit and pray "Today will Saviour save me?" Well maybe… I mean, all she could do was hope so It was more comforting than watching passers by she don’t know (Intelekt and Geetha) When black and white pages turn to colour and life When someone's life is decided by the blade of a knife When an innocent, is in danger or strife Is when a hero comes along to change wrongs to right (Intelekt) At school, Julie was a friend with no one but her teacher Avoided preachers, afraid anyone who tried to reach her She knew deep down that someone was gonna save her And told her teacher she would be saved by Saviour Now, Mrs. Jones wanted nothing but the best for Julie 'Comics don’t fool me', but Julie almost lost her cool, see Mrs Jones tried to spare hopes by telling her the real But Julie kept faith, kept on yelling how she feels While all the other kids kept on spelling out the deal 'Saviour isn't fake', kept on yelling how she feels She hoped, and kept her focus, and never stopped believing She fought what people thought and whatever stopped her breathing (Intelekt and Geetha) When black and white pages turn to colour and life When someone's life is decided by the blade of a knife When an innocent, is in danger or strife Is when a hero comes along to change wrongs to right (Intelekt) Just then in the darkness of the shadows in the night Was it a dream? or did she truly see the fight? Two men hidden amongst the darkness and the trees One was who adopted her, but the other she couldn’t see It couldn’t be? The way he swung, the way he moved, she recognised His figure, his finesse, she wasn't sure, but she identified A fluttering of a dark cape gave him away It was saviour, he came to save her today She couldn’t believe it, in fact, she almost lost her mind Passers by crowded, 'who is he? And what's the time?' A warm feeling went through Julie, knowing that someone cares Her hero is real, she stood smiling amongst the stares (Geetha) If you follow your heart You’re dreams will take you home If you follow your heart You’re dreams will take you home Your dreams will take you home (Intelekt) Saviour, the caped crusader that saved her took her away Gave her a real home, real friends, and time to play Julie smiled, in fact, she cried as she always did Only for the first time in her life, it was because she was a happy kid A ghost of misfortune haunted her plead Because a normal life was all she ever wanted to lead Life was a nightmare, but she kept on believing Things never looked up, but fate can be misleading So if life looks like it aint ever gonna be better Keep your faith, and always keep yo head up Just another rhyme designed to get you to think Peace, Intelekt...
