Story behind the song

This song is a short, imaginary journey into the colors and perfumes of the Orient.
I was starting to record in a new music studio, finding the best position for microphones and so on,  when I saw a little, beautiful picture of the Great Wall that seemed to lead the observer into the sunset.
At that time, my sound engineer asked me to “play something” for a sound check: that “something” was Souvenir of China...
