Lyrics
In 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue To find a way that was brand new Columbus: A way to India! All: He wanted to find spices which would make his country very rich he took along three mighty ships Columbus: I'm going to India! All: Columbus make our country proud Come back with gold and spice All of Spain will sing and shout. Columbus: That would be so nice All: So off he went across the sea, arriving unexpectedly into a new discovery Columbus: Am I in India? (Spoken) If this is India, then you must be Indians! Natives: Where do you come from strange men? Columbus: A place called Spain! Natives: This isn't India. Columbus: It's the new world! All: So they discovered the New World, the Americas, let's spread the word- come and find what you have heard, explore America! Explore America.
