Story behind the song

I read an article describing the difference between praise and worship music and other Christian music.  The article said that, where most Christian music is geared to the listener and is intended to teach, encourage, or inspire, p&w music is written with God as the listener; music that is written vertically.  This song came about as a result of reading that article.
