Story behind the song
So much crap on TV these days...!!!! I got fed up one day, turned it off, and headed deeper into the basement to write this song.
Lyrics
I turn, I turn the TV on
and I see, misery is still on
But I feel, I feel the need-to go on
in a world, so full of destruction.
I need to take a stand, (Or should I turn my face away again?)
I need to take a stand,( Or should I hide my head deep in the sand? )
Have we all just gone insane?
we are sinking deeper, and deeper; deeper, and deeper, is it too late?
We have to stop and start again
Say, say can you see
how crazy this world can be?
The truth hides behind uncertainty
and no one sees through this tragedy
I need to take a stand, (Or should I turn my face away again?)
I need to take a stand,( Or should I hide my head deep in the sand? )
Have we all just gone insane?
we are sinking deeper, and deeper; and deeper, and deeper, is it too late?
We have to stop and start again
Have we all just gone insane?
we are sinking deeper, and deeper; and deeper, and deeper, is it too late?
We have to stop and start again
I turn, I turn the TV off
And I hope, mysery is now gone
‘cause I know, this is all an illusion
So I turn, I turn the TV off!!
