A Manchester based five piece formed in the summer of 2004, Folks comprise Scotty Anderson (vocals), Pete Fonda (guitar), Matt Cottee (Bass), Bo Walsh (Drums) and Colin Ogden (Piano). Demos were recorded in December at Elevator Studios in Liverpool and the band has performed at venues throughout the North and as far South as the Truck Records Festival in Oxford.
The band contributed a cover of The Bee Gees track 'On Time' for the album 'TenFromTen', released on Concrete Recordings, February 2005. The album was co-ordinated by former Stone Roses tour manager, and all round good guy, Steve Adge, who has continued to champion the band since his attendance at their first show back in the summer.
