Music has been an integral part of my life since early childhood. I was born into a musical family and therefore feel that music is one of the most important aspects of my life. The music that my family exposed me to in my early years helped me develop my unique and distinct style of song writing.

Story behind the song
I wrote this tune back in the late 70's about my older brother. That guy was always hitch-hiking back and forth from Oklahoma to California and then back to Oklahoma. And everytime I would accommodate his visits but before I knew it, he would slip out of town and he would always take my shoes. So the idea came to me as Travelin' Sole but changed it to what the title is today. I hope you enjoy it.
Lyrics
Travelin' Soul Written by Archie Hughes Performed and recorded by Travelin' Soul travelinsoul.net ©1977-2013 ************************************* I‘ve been travelin’ down these roads I’ve got achin’ in my soul And I like to settle myself down Lay up in a place that I call home But I haven’t found that time or place Or the restful peace of my mind But someday I know I’m going to see Instead of going down the road so blind Well I keep climbin’ these walls But I always end up in a fall Don’t feel like a man at all No I don’t feel like a man at all If I could ever find my way To somebody’s touch I would stay But all those faces they frown on me Yea sends my soul runnin’ away I’m always searchin’ but can’t seem to find The answer for this life of mine Cause my broken dreams has shattered me Which keeps my world way behind Well I keep climbin’ these walls But I always end up in a fall Don’t feel like a man at all No I don’t feel like a man at all
