A tune I wrote back in the early 1980s, initially as a theme for a band I was in. It was never played by that band!

Lyrics
I'm in at the deep end, baby
I'm in trouble again and I can't swim.
I'm in at the deep end, baby
Good lord, I'm in trouble again and I can't swim.
Well, it's so easy to think about losin'
When you know that you just can't win!
I gave you everything you ever needed,
But you said that you wanted so much more.
I gave you everything that you ever needed,
Then you turned around and said that you wanted so much more.
Just as soon as I turned my back
You up and walked right out of my door.
Well, it's a downright rotten
It's a lowdown and dirty, dirty shame.
I said it is a downright rotten
You know it is a lowdown and dirty, dirty, dirty shame.
All that I ever wanted was you
Why then did you go and treat me like a great big game?
Just once I'd like to win, but
It seems again I'm 'bout to lose
Just once I'd like to win
Seems again I'm 'bout to lose.
Is it any wonder
Why they call me DOCTOR BLUES?
