I play mostly alone but also play with bands we form for special concerts
Since I retired in 1996 I took up writing, playing and recording music as a hobby. I play piano, guitar, bass, drums, harmonica and tenor sax reasonably well but not great. I enjoy all genres of music.

Story behind the song
Throughout my life I had always wanted to write a symphony,so when I retired I began only to realize I did not know how. Several months of studying at the library gave me the tools to proceed. It is written the old fashion way, plain sheet of paper and pencil, individually writing in all the instrument staffs and notes one measure at a time. Upon completion, I then used the computer to generate the conductor score and the individual instrument scores. The entire symphony was later recorded. It certainly was a journey for me to complete it and hopefully will be a journey for you, the listener.
