Story behind the song
This is our second recorded song. Branden was pissed that his drumming skills were not put to use during the simplistic verses. Listen to him expertly tap the crash! Also, Jason and I forgot to tell Branden that there was an extra measure on the last chorus, so he cuts out early...and surprisingly, it sounds damn good!
Lyrics
the world is not easily won over the wind blows north to northeast a lullaby in the night woven by fate's tangled web all are asleep on the dusty plain a shadow forms in the distance fear sets itself in unlocked by death's dark key remember the green color of grass remember the vase's colored glass remember the girl you one harassed the dead man's voice is here at last spilled on an oaken table juices sink into the musty air the heater is broken and it's hot outside we're all locked in time together remember the green color of grass remember the vase's colored glass remember the girl you one harassed the dead man's voice is here at last the dead man's voice has spoken at last
