Duo doing things we think of and things we want to do.. when we want to do them . . .
That's Us . . . Krill and Banks Conspiring to make music .. . mostly . . as it turns out . . . for ourselves. Eighty plus odd years of foolin’ around with music and still not rich. AND THAT's one of the reasons we decided to quit giving away everything that we conjure out of thin air. AFTER ALL.... We're just two guys making up music cause we want to, There's still be several FreeBees from time to time. Like a Bluelight Special or Black Friday or something. He's Larry Banks and I'm John Krill, aka the Krill Banks Conspiracy. We have no intended audience, evidenced by the undiagnosed “style” of tunes presented here. But some have said... "this is really good stuff.... weird... strange sometimes... even... urgh ... thought provoking". Banks is the Bass, keys and emerging as a vox specialist, the Mix Meister and odd noises. Krill picks at acoustic and electric guitar while doing the most of the singin’AND "baby-boomer beat-nik" vox cause he’s the only one who knows the very strange words. Songs and Poetry over music range from Rockabilly Barroom sing-a-long to a Katrina saga , ditties about stupidity, old age and did I mention... politics .... oh yeah I did say.... stupidity ? I think its worth ever bit as much as LAFY TAFY, Lady Lumps or Stripper Love.... the "subjects" of MOST modern music. You can still listen to everything for free and post a howdy. Luck to us, John 1/2 of KBC XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Story behind the song
Just plain silly with a beat but the very first time KBC did a story-talk piece. This is the original version recorded early in the existence of the KBC partnership. Lyrics Written several years ago and originally... was a Jimmy Dean Parody ( Big John )
Lyrics
I once had an old car that I called Bess , didn’t run very good kinda looked like a mess Had rusted fenders and three bald tires, tailpipe hung on with coat hanger wire. With busted headlights and only one fuzzy dice, Bess still had what I’d call nice BBBBBB Now what Bess had was hard to see, wait until dark and drive behind the trees, Push a red button hidden above your head, and the back folds down into a king size bed, just right for two and maybe more, another button would lock all the doors BBBBBB Now me and Bess we’d cruise around , lookin for excitement or whatever’s going down. Strange enough with all that rusted steel, she still had a strange kind of sex appeal. I had some close calls in that old four door, but me and Bess had never yet scored. BBBBBB One day me and Bess were out a cruizin, kinda a half awake a snoozing, pulled up to a light on Main and Vine, when I noticed a girl who was mighty fine. She tolled down the window of her Mercedes Bens, shouted over if I like to be friends. So I parked Bess and jumped right out, climbed in with her and we bopped about BBBBBB We parked in the woods and got to it soon, but found out quick there wasn’t enough room. So we went back and switched the cars, then it didn’t take long to go too far. We rolled and we played all through the night , said our goodbyes when we saw the first light BBBBBB Two months later I was drivin through when this girl yells out I got a message for you She said, You really did it… I’m in a family way, so we got hitched the very next day. BBBBB Once in a while when the moon’s just right, we pull of the tarp keepin Bess out of sight Now nothin much works in the old four door, ‘cept the red button that helped me score. We still roll and we play every once in a while, and sneak back to the house with a guilty smile, Where the kids look at us like were the fools, but their the ones who gotta go to school Their mom and I don’t need Bess any more, cause we got our own house and bedroom door BBBBB The moral to the story if you’re gonna have a fling, better be ready to wear a wedding ring and another thing is when our kids look for cars, we’ll never forget how they got their start A little tiny car will serve their needs, cause we’re makin them wait to spread their seeds. BBBBBB
