18 year old singer-songwriter in Lafayette, Indaina. Live looping and acoustic rock.
Nice to meet you. My name is Kyle Bledsoe. I am a singer/songwriter out of Lafayette, Indiana. I have always had a passion for music. I grew up to the sounds of my mother playing the piano and such artists as Bruce Springsteen and John Mellencamp in the CD player. Now, at 18 years old, I've set out and started my own dream to become a musician. Playing around Indiana since the middle of 2004, I've grown a lot in a short amout of time. In April of 2004, I sat in with a guitarist from St. Louis, MO named Stendek. His live performance was enough to make me want to be a loop artist. A loop artist plays music into a recording device called a looper which then plays back was recorded on it and lets the musician record additional sounds and layers on top of it. It's almost like a full band in one electronic device. I bought a looper, and since then have experimented with many different instruments. I soon stripped down to just guitar and two pedal boards full of effects; one for my guitar, and one for my vocals, somewhat similar to Howie Day. As of now, I am in the studio working on my first CD with veteran singer/songwriter Scott Greeson, which is titled Holding On. The CD will be ready by April, and be on the lookout for ways to order!

Story behind the song
This song is about not being able to let go of the best thing that you know you can't have.
Lyrics
5 a.m., the morning swears It hasn’t seen the last of our confessions I sit alone, waiting up for you Daylight comes, Still spinnng from the night before Being home alone never was Good to me Hold my hand, Jayda I won’t stay the same When I was holding on to the best of what couldn’t be I was holding onto you Dreams we had to grow in each others arms fade away Like you and I, you broke a promise Just wait up, just be awake Hold my hand, Jayda I won’t stay the same When I was holding on to the best of what couldn’t be I was holding onto you When I was holding on to the best of what couldn’t be I was holding onto you My hands are tired Of being the only one around I still hold onto you When I was holding on to the best of what couldn’t be I was holding onto you
